The Columbia Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon returns to the city August 17-18, 2024 – and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you back! 2024 will be like not other year in Boston! Celebrate your season with this historical, scenic, fun and exciting Sprint & Olympic distance event and spectate a new professional race! As a participant in the triathlon, you’ll swim in the fresh waters of Dorchester Bay, bike through Boston city streets, and run along the scenic Southie shoreline.

In 2024, we are thrilled to announce that the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon will once again join other major urban triathlons in the U.S. as an Olympic Distance Race! The start and finish will be at DCR Carson Beach and DCR Mother’s Rest Fields, and will take advantage of the closed roads and pathways along the South Boston shoreline.
Love to run, but hate to bike and swim? Grab two friends and sign up as a 3-Person Relay Team! For those who are up for a bigger challenge, we also offer an option for 2-Person Relay Teams. Bring old friends and make some new ones at this summer’s triathlon!

Encourage your friends, family or colleagues to join the fun by signing up as a team! The Annual Team Challenge is great ways to experience the Sprint & Olympic race from start to finish while participating in some friendly competition. Teams of 7 or more will be competing for bragging rights as the fastest Tri Team in Boston! In addition to bragging rights, $5k in price money will be up for grabs for the top three teams!
